Applying the CSR
Framework on the Ground

Translating responsibility into measurable rural impact

OVERVIEW

CSR
Project

Upgradation of the Tobacco Farmer Ecosystem through IoT-Enabled and Sustainable Agricultural Practices is a CSR initiative undertaken by Elitecon International Ltd. with the intent to work with existing tobacco-growing communities in Andhra Pradesh to strengthen livelihood resilience and promote responsible resource management. Implemented in partnership with ICAR – National Institute for Research on Commercial Agriculture (ICAR-NIRCA), the project covers approximately 500 farmers and focuses on enabling sustainable agricultural practices, improving water stewardship, and supporting environmentally responsible farming systems through structured capacity building and technology-enabled interventions. The intervention does not promote expansion of tobacco cultivation and is designed to improve environmental efficiency and farm-level decision-making within existing agricultural systems.
